Background

EldHollow LLC is an independently owned research and consulting firm specializing in the evaluation of forest carbon offset projects. We combine expertise in geospatial analysis, socioeconomics, forest ecology, and carbon accounting to provide rigorous, quantifiable project assessments.

EldHollow was founded in 2020 as a consulting forestry firm in Connecticut working with small landowners to manage their forests. Over the years, we expanded into forest carbon through project verifications and then into project reviews. Our work is grounded in peer-reviewed science and direct engagement with project developers, remote sensing data, and regional ecological literature.

Expertise

Members of EldHollow hold advanced degrees in carbon-related fields such as environmental science, forest ecology, or geospatial analysis. We also possess extensive experience working with carbon offset projects. We have conducted hundreds of project assessments around the world. Many of these assessments included site visits where we engaged with stakeholders and clients on the ground.

Independence and Integrity

EldHollow maintains no financial relationships with carbon registries, project developers, or brokers. Our reviews are commissioned by clients seeking an objective third-party perspective — not by parties with a financial stake in the projects we evaluate. In addition, we do not participate in supply markets. Objectivity is fundamental to our mission, and we take great care to ensure that our analyses are free from bias and conflicts of interest.

All reports are provided under strict confidentiality agreements and are made available exclusively to clients through our secure portal.
