The Big Poplar Forestry Project is an Improved Forest Management (IFM) initiative under the American Carbon Registry (ACR) Improved Forest Management on Non-Federal U.S. Forestlands v2.1 protocol. Developed collaboratively by Aurora Sustainable Lands LLC (“Aurora”) and Anew Climate LLC (“Anew”), Aurora is among the largest private landowners in the U.S., managing approximately 1.7 million acres (0.69 million hectares) nationwide. Within the Big Poplar project, about 37,500 hectares of forestland have been enrolled in West Virginia, including a small parcel in Virginia. The project commenced on April 13, 2022, initially following v2.0 of ACR’s IFM protocol before transitioning to v2.1 in 2025, which will initiate the second monitoring period. The initial crediting period spans 20 years, with the possibility of extending for an additional 20 years, resulting in a total durability period of 40 years.

The Kapuas Pisau Conservation Project is an Avoided Planned Deforestation (APD) initiative implemented under the Verra VM0007 REDD+ Methodology Framework. It will also employ the Verra VM0047 Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR) methodology for ARR activities, which represent a minor portion of the overall project crediting. Located within the concession area of PT Ramang Agro Lestari, the project spans 13,580 hectares of the Kapuas Forest Management Unit. PT Indo Hutan Ekosistem (PT IHE), the project proponent, acquired this concession in 2023. PT IHE is a subsidiary of PT Belayan River Timber and part of the Integra Group, a vertically integrated wood manufacturing company listed on the Indonesian stock exchange under the ticker WOOD. In partnership with Canopy Carbon PTE LTD, the project developer, PT IHE began implementation in 2023, with a crediting period of 30 years. The Nguru Landscape Forest Project is an Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR) initiative under the Plan Vivo PM001 Agriculture and Forestry Carbon Benefit Assessment Methodology version 1.0. This project is a collaboration between the PAMS Foundation (“PAMS”), the project proponent, and Trees for All, the project partner. PAMS is a non-profit organization established in Tanzania in 2009, focusing on working with local communities to protect wildlife and conserve natural resources. Trees for All is a certified Public Benefit Organization based in the Netherlands, dedicated to implementing forest restoration and agroforestry programs globally. Together, they have initiated a pilot project in the Eastern Arc montane region of Tanzania, engaging local communities across 200 hectares. The project aims to include more communities and expand to 6,200 hectares over the next several years, with a crediting period of 30 years.
