The Nguru Landscape Forest Project is an Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR) initiative under the Plan Vivo PM001 Agriculture and Forestry Carbon Benefit Assessment Methodology version 1.0. This project is a collaboration between the PAMS Foundation (“PAMS”), the project proponent, and Trees for All, the project partner. PAMS is a non-profit organization established in Tanzania in 2009, focusing on working with local communities to protect wildlife and conserve natural resources. Trees for All is a certified Public Benefit Organization based in the Netherlands, dedicated to implementing forest restoration and agroforestry programs globally. Together, they have initiated a pilot project in the Eastern Arc montane region of Tanzania, engaging local communities across 200 hectares. The project aims to include more communities and expand to 6,200 hectares over the next several years, with a crediting period of 30 years.
