The Chiloé REDD+ Project is a grouped Avoided Unplanned Deforestation (AUD) initiative in early development that will be implemented under a modified version of the VM0015 methodology framework. Located on Isla Grande de Chiloé in Chile, the project will cover approximately 50,500 hectares of forestland grouped amongst two private landowners and the Quellón and Chonchi communes. Australis Carbon, the project proponent and developer, was established to implement the project, which will have a crediting period of 30 years with a planned start window of January 2027.
