The Scott River IFM projects are three separate Improved Forest Management (IFM) initatives named Wildcat, Whiskey, and Shackleford, respectively, under the American Carbon Registry (ACR) Improved Forest Management Methodology for Quantifying GHG Removals and Emission Reductions through Increased Forest Carbon Sequestration on Non-Federal Forestlands, Version 1.3. Located in north central California, the project areas cover a total of 15,565 hectares of forestland divided into three areas of 3,155 (Wildcat), 7,406 (Whiskey), and 5,003 hectares (Shackleford), respectively. EFM Investments & Advisory (EFM), the project developer and project proponent, partnered with several co-development partners to implement the projects starting on June 7, 2021. The projects have crediting periods of 20 years, which can be extended up to 40 years.
